404 Hz: Borrowed Bodies

404 Hz: Borrowed Bodies is a free 3D sci-fi action-survival game playable directly in your browser. You are Instance 404, a synthetic signal that cannot survive without occupying a living host. Hunt, feed and grow inside marine creatures, then abandon failing bodies and possess stronger species. Every new host brings different movement, instincts and abilities. Descend through four transformed underwater ecosystems while destroying Signal Carriers before your Connection becomes complete. The game includes two ways to play: Ranked Protocol, featuring the intended challenge and global leaderboard scoring, and Story Protocol, a more forgiving mode focused on exploration and narrative. 404 Hz supports keyboard and mouse controls on desktop, as well as landscape touch controls on mobile browsers. An optional Calibration Basin introduces the game’s core mechanics before the main descent. You are not the body. You are the signal between them.
