What is the Votekicker MCP server?
The Votekicker MCP server exposes Votekicker data and actions through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Any client that speaks MCP, such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, or custom agents, can connect to it and query projects without writing custom API integrations.

| discover_projects | Browse and discover software, games and tools. Supports filtering by category, subcategory, sort order and free-text search. |
| get_categories | List all available project categories and their subcategories on Votekicker. |
discover_projects parameters

| search | string (optional) | Free-text search filter matched against project titles. |
| page | integer (optional) | Page number to fetch. Defaults to 1. |
| limit | integer (optional) | Number of projects per page. Defaults to 20, maximum 50. |
| sort | string (optional) | Sort order: default, ranking, newest, or random. |
| category | string (optional) | Filter by project category. |
| subcategory | string (optional) | Filter by project subcategory. |
Connecting a client
Configure your MCP client with the Streamable HTTP transport pointing at
https://api.votekicker.com/mcp. The transport negotiates a session automatically and sends the required Mcp-Session-Id header on subsequent requests. No API key is required for read-only discovery tools.
